Delete your Dekita account
You can delete your account and every record at any time: in the app in a few seconds, or by email.

Delete in the app
- Open Dekita and unlock it.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.
Your account and all of its records are deleted straight away. If you want a copy first, use Settings → Export all to save your data as CSV files.
Ask us by email
Can’t open the app? Email support@heydekita.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Dekita account”.
- We reply to that address to confirm the account is yours. We will never ask for your password.
- Once confirmed, we delete your account and all its records and email you when it’s done, within 30 days at most (usually much sooner).
What is deleted, and when

| All your records: accounts, cards, people, entries, subscriptions, salary, categories, notes | Deleted immediately |
| Encrypted backups | Roll off within 14 days |
| Security log (for example sign-ins and the record that an account was deleted) | Kept for up to 90 days to prevent abuse, then removed |
Leave the waitlist
To remove just your waitlist email, write to support@heydekita.com from that address.
